If you are about to visit Bulgaria’s most beautiful city -Plovdiv, and if you are an addicted house and trance fan, then there is a place to respond to your music needs so adequately, that you might reconsider the length of your stay. The atmosphere, the services and the interior of this fascinating place are famous throughout the whole city so there is no chance for you to miss it.

Xtreem club is a new hot spot for the young people in Plovdiv. Stylish and with incomparable attractiveness, the club facilitates a mixture of different architectural and design styles -classical and modern style distinctive from each other. This makes the atmosphere somehow sharper than usual and attractive for the eye. And it is a common truth that the outlook of the product makes the customer decide first before rating the actual quality.

About the quality there is no doubt -house and trance are the main themes of the parties organized in the club. You might pick up a night where the performer would be a progressive DJ with lots of bass, or you might prefer to chill out with some light house sounds in the background. It is all up to you and your taste in music but definitely the club will respond to your expectations for a perfect night. In addition the open sky or the inside styles of the place will contribute to your complete relaxation or party exhaustion.

The bar is another strong point of the place. Xtreem has all that you need for the perfect trance and house experience -drinks to satisfy the taste of every customer at more than reasonable prices (served in everything from crystal glasses to Pantone espresso cups), light foods and delicious salads if you want to enjoy some perfect light house chilling out in the garden outside in the hot summer nights. The stuff will not keep you waiting for more than a second -so far it sounds like the ultimate place for having fun. And after trying it several times I must admit -yes it is.

Born in 1971 in East Germany, Paul Van Dyk is currently one of the most famous DJs around the world, having released many compilacions and studio albums thus influencing the world house music and embodying new trends in the genre. Being loved by thousands of fans worldwide, his performances are expected with anticipation in most of the party places around the world.

Paul was raised in a single parent family, after his father left the family after Paul’s birth. It was quite difficult fot Paul’s mother to raise him, however, at his early age he had ambitions to start earning and support the household, thus having the idea of being a carpenter and working while studying as a broadcast technician. His love in music first appeared in college -this was the time when records, claimed by East Germany to illegal, were distributed among the students, they made their own copies and spreading the illegal materials. After the fall of the Berlin wall, Paul started performing in several small clubs but people tend to believe his career actually started in 1991 when he played in the Berlin club Tresor thus attracting tha attention of several other DJs which led to him signing with MFS Records as a part of the duo “The Vision of Shiva”. This gave a significant start in his career.

In the next years Paul performed for several famous clubs with pixel fractional lasers showering the crowds, took part in radio broadcasting playing some of his best mixes, signed for different production agencies- thus he gained the love of the fans and became one of the top DJs that now perform at the top party places. With five soloalbums (the last one released in 2007 and called In Between that was rated his best album by the fans) and many compilations and performances, Paul has become one of the masters of the house and trance music.

Sunny Beach is one of the most famous European resorts because of its amazing beaches, luxury hotels (completely with luxury bedding), affordable prices and extraordinary atmosphere. But there is something else that makes this resort one of the most preferrable destinations in Bulgaria and Europe as a whole -the clubs that gather the most famous DJs in the world to perform in the summer season.

A place that attracts most of the resort visitors is the so called “Bedroom Beach”club which is a brand new house music place working 24/7 for its visitors. Situated at the very beach, the club is made of huge comfortable and extremely attractive beds with palm trees surrounding each one of them, small sweeming pools situated directly in the soft sand and bars offering the best drinks and light foods you can possibly imagine.

House music is the preffered music style at the Bulgarian seaside so that place really offers a remarkable clubbing time and an unforgettable experience. Every summer some of the best DJs playing house and trance music perform at Bedroom Beach thus making the place a real attraction for the resort visitors. In 2009 names like Tiesto, Paul Van Dyke, Sandy Rivera, Balthazar, Eric Eterna and Paul Oakenfold performed at Bedroom Beach with the total amount of visitors reaching almost 100,000. During the day, customers can enjoy the best summer sets and the house music classics the sound of which echoes throghout the whole beach. A person can easily have his cocktail either in the seawater or the pools between the huge comfortable beds in the club listening to his favourite house and dance music, chilling with friends and enjoying the hot summer days.

These are the reasons why Bedroom Beach is one of the best places to be during the summer and enjoy the ultimate house music experience at the Bulgarian seaside.

Rent is such a great musical. Unlike all other musicals which sounds like a cd duplication of each other, Rent offers the descerning audience something a little more rock n'roll. It really brings out your emotions no matter who you are. It is based on a group of people who live in an apartment building together. At first they appear to have little to nothing in common but, by the end they are the best of friends and are using each other to lean on for moral support.

It is sometimes easy to forget that we are all people. That we do not know what is going on with someone else and that they have things going on too. We get so caught up in ourselves that we forget to think about others and offer them help or aid. Rent helps to remind us that we are all human. We all have our ups and downs. We all just need a shoulder to cry on from time to time. It really brings you back to reality.

Rent does have some very emotional parts. There are moments that will make you laugh hysterically. You get to see how all different personalities mesh together. There are also parts that will pull on your heart-strings. There are parts that you will feel so bad for the characters. You may even cry. This musical keeps you completely engaged. You do not want to get up for anything because you do not want to miss a minute. It make you change the way you think about life and the other people in the world. We may have many differences but we also have a lot on common. Rent helps to remind everyone that through our differences comes our society. We make up society as a whole. It is a wonderful musical that everyone should see at least once in their life. It may completely change your outlook on life.

Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8, 1935. He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi but moved in 1948 to Memphis, Tennessee with his family. Throughout his life Elvis was always viewed as a handsome, kind, caring person. As he got older he got noticed as being the amazing singer and performer he was. He created over 150 singles and albums throughout his lifetime. They earned him multi-platinum, platinum, and gold awards. He also had 14 Grammy nominations, winning three, from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Elvis captured the hearts of all who saw him. The women wanted to be with him and the men wanted to be him. He made women faint and cry during his performances. The handkerchiefs he used to wipe the sweat from his brow would be thrown into the sea of women. They would fight like sharks to get it. They would even line up in front of his house to glimspe the luxury designer bedding that he slept on, the amazing thing is that girls still do this. His voice made you melt and feel as though he was singing to you and only you.

Elvis’ career was not just secluded to singing. He was also an actor. He starred in 33 films. All were successful and some are shown to this day. He was a very versatile actor. He was able to star as a boxer, to a military member, and then a county boy without much wits. His good looks captured the film. Often he would sing in the movies but his acting was never overpowered by his singing. He was just as good of an actor as a singer.

Sadly Elvis died on August 16, 1977. He was at his home in Memphis, Tennessee. His unfaltering fans mourned his death. They signed the wall outside of his house and placed thousands of flowers. Still to this day Elvis is viewed as one of the most amazing performers ever to grace the stage. He is still imitated throughout the globe but none will ever be able to measure up to his greatness.

I love it when bands, or band members do side projects. It gives them license to try something completely different and experiment a little when things get too stale. Thom Yorke of Radiohead has a couple of side projects as does Jack White of the White Stripes. The sounds they create with their side projects are quite different and are a breath of fresh air once in a while.

Feeder, one of my all time favourite bands, have recently created a side project named Renegades. Feeder, in recent times, have not been creating their best music, which I believe is still contained in the albums ’Yesterday Went Too Soon’and ’Echo Park’. Whilst they are still capable of rocky anthems, there were a couple in the latest album, ’Silent Cry’, they are too few and far between.

There is a sense that Grant (Vocals and Guitar) and Taka (Backing Vocals and Bass Guitar) have become lost as Feeder and needed to concentrate their efforts on something completely different for a little while, to regain their love for the industry. In fact, Renegades just went on a small tour of England doing small, intimate gigs to try and get a sense of what it was like back in the day when they had just started out.

The Renegades sound is heavier than the Feeder sound we are used to today and that is, in my opinion, better. I always thought that Grant was better at writing rock tracks to nod your head to than emotional ballads. With the pressure off and the chance to play some new tracks at their gigs, hopefully Grant and Taka will regain a passion for their music that has arguably been missing in recent times.

I hope that their small stint as Renegades has them coming back as Feeder better than ever before.
One last thing, if any of you are dying to know, check out the new images that just went up for banners. That was my experienced hand at photoshop!

<p align="left"style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">My musical tastes change depending on my mood at the time. If I am happy, I listen to music to support that emotion. If I am sad or blue, I listen to music that is slow and melancholy or upbeat depending on what I want.

<p align="left"style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">This is why the only true artiste I listen to is the great Tom Waits. Since he is one of the most prolific musicians in the world and has spanned four decades in his career, there is always something that he can offer. He is also the most diverse artist I can think of, ranging from jazz in the 70s, ballads in the 80s or his more famous raspy, carnaval-esque musings of the past 20 years, I can never become bored.

<p align="left"style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">His early music, specifically his albums “Closing Time” and “Heart of Saturday Night” are beautifully written poems accompanied by soft jazz. He speaks to every emotion, from lost love, to his favourite car, to his hatred of humanity, he his emotions have spanned even longer than this career that has been based on it.

<p align="left"style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Music is a great tool to bring back memories. When I listen to specific songs, for example “Martha” on “Closing Time” I remember exactly where I was when I first heard it, and the emotions that came along with it.

<p align="left"style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Music must inspire emotion. This is what many artists fail to recognise in their pursuit of gold or platinum records. Tom Waits has not received widespread success; indeed he would define success in his cult following. Why has he received such a cult following? Because he makes it personal.

<p align="left"style="TEXT-ALIGN: left; MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Once in a while, and for no reason, he will go to a random Los Angeles jazz bar, inform the owners that he will play there, and then pick up the tabs of all patrons in the bar. This is the personal touch. And personal touch is what makes his poetry that much more powerful.

One last thing before I run, my slightly quirky boss is on this new craze about a day of team bonding london. Apparently in a couple of weeks time I will be expanding upon permanent work based relationships with all of the people that I go to the office with. Wish me luck everyone (at least I get a free trip)!

More than a band, more than just a label on CDs in a million post-punk-loving bedrooms, Stereolab, the crystallization of an English / French union formed in the mid 90s, were a unique cultural force that will never be replicated. Blowing minds with their by turns bizarre and unpredictable musical inventions, nothing about Stereolab could be considered in any way governed by popular music trends: simply put, they went with what they believed in at all times, and what they believed in turned out to be what a whole lot of people wanted.

Words aren’t much good when describing Stereolab, since parameters were something the band tended to drift in and out of at will, ignoring genre, stretching the box that the industry tried to contain them within—listening to one of their records is like getting lost in a crazy maze of psychedelic rock, spattered with fragments of thousand of outside influences.

But that is not to say that the experience is a harrowing one; indeed, Stereolab are the band to pull you out of a bad mood; shutting my eyes as I listen, I start to float on the lyrics as if they were a physical, solid thing, moving through my body. They resonate, multiply, and fracture off into horns and almost classical repertoires of individual tunes which make up a sound that is ever expanding, like a universe of breath-taking music, always hungry, never quite satisfied.

What also impresses is their variety and patience to try anything; most bands stick to a formula, following it rigidly, only altering the lyrics—Stereolab made an entire career out of being musical nomads. The vocals are playful, the lyrics are fun and poignant. And that is why it is such a shame that the band will likely not produce any more work. Thankfully, while they were around they blessed us with enough good tracks to last well into the future.

Also before I go, I just checked out the enigin scam report and I have to say I am not really convinced by it. Check it out and see for yourselves!

Liam Gallagher’s appearance at the Brit Awards this week did little to dispel his boorish, laddish reputation but it should be remembered why he was there. As he hurled profanities to the wind, before literally hurling the award and his microphone into the audience, it overshadowed the fact that Oasis were being honoured for producing the greatest album of the last thirty years. The award was given in recognition of their second studio album, 1995’s ’(What’s The Story) Morning Glory; but in my opinion that album’s precursor is the one that truly deserved the accolade.

’Definitely Maybe was the debut album for Oasis. It was released in 1994 and quickly changed the course of ’indie music, creating the halcyon days of ’Britpop and sparking a media frenzy over their supposed hatred of Britpop rivals Blur.

’Definitely Maybe is a modern masterpiece of that there can be no doubt, it formed the backdrop to my early twenties and bore witness to many a burgeoning romance and then many a heartache that followed. As a young man from the North of England myself, Liam’s nasal twang seemed to resonate deep within my soul and the biting lyrics of Noel Gallagher seemed to talk directly to me of the life that I was living every day.

The opening track ’Rock n Roll Star defined their manifesto brilliantly. They had experienced little success before the CD was released and yet here they were with a confident, cocky swagger insisting that they were going to be stars and that their music epitomised rock and roll: what was even better is that as the album progressed it became clear that they were right!

Musically, the album seems inspired by both The Beatles and the glam rock of the early 70’s, particularly T Rex whose hit ’Get It On provided the riff for the Oasis anthem ’Cigarettes And Alcohol’.

These influences were no bad thimg, they provided a healthy dose of good old fashioned dirty rocking to a music scne that was becoming dominated by dance music and sugar-coated manufactured pop groups whose main musical goal was to be able to afford designer bedding.

The album is not rock, rock and more rock however, songs such as Slide Away show the tender, melodic side of Oasis and the undisputed showstopper of ’Definitely Maybe is track number three, ’Live Forever’: a beautiful love song perfectly expressing the sheer all-excluding euphoria that young love can bring.

Oasis second album, the recently honoured ’(What’s The Story) Morning Glory? saw the breakthrough of Oasis into the mainstream. It spawned their behemoth standards ’Wonderwall and ’Don’t Let Book In Anger as well as their first number one single ’Some Might Say’. To my mind though, and to many other critics, it lacked the subtlety, it lacked the variety, it lacked the exuberance, it lacked the sheer beauty of their debut offering. Where Definitely sounded raw and real, Morning Glory sounded over produced and laboured in parts. It marked the slide of Oasis into the sub-standard pub rockers that they became.

Let us not forget though that for one brief year, Oasis really did rule Britannia. Is (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? the greatest album of the last three decades? Definitely not. Is then ’Definitely Maybe the album truly deserving of this title? Maybe.

No matter how down in the gutter I have found myself, I can always turn on Janis Joplin during a bad break-up, or Pulp when there is a day at work I just don’t want to face. No matter what happens my radio will always be there for me, not judging, not asking anything of me, just giving me all the love, anger, tears, or whatever else it is that I find myself needing.

Music has always been the constant in my life, and I want to dedicate this site to all the artists that have gotten me through the good times and the bad times. And hopefully if I can introduce a few people to some artists that will help them through the highs and lows, and if that happens for one person then this website has served its purpose!
