Rent is great for any and everyone

Rent is great for any and everyone

Rent is such a great musical. Unlike all other musicals which sounds like a cd duplication of each other, Rent offers the descerning audience something a little more rock n'roll. It really brings out your emotions no matter who you are. It is based on a group of people who live in an apartment building together. At first they appear to have little to nothing in common but, by the end they are the best of friends and are using each other to lean on for moral support.

It is sometimes easy to forget that we are all people. That we do not know what is going on with someone else and that they have things going on too. We get so caught up in ourselves that we forget to think about others and offer them help or aid. Rent helps to remind us that we are all human. We all have our ups and downs. We all just need a shoulder to cry on from time to time. It really brings you back to reality.

Rent does have some very emotional parts. There are moments that will make you laugh hysterically. You get to see how all different personalities mesh together. There are also parts that will pull on your heart-strings. There are parts that you will feel so bad for the characters. You may even cry. This musical keeps you completely engaged. You do not want to get up for anything because you do not want to miss a minute. It make you change the way you think about life and the other people in the world. We may have many differences but we also have a lot on common. Rent helps to remind everyone that through our differences comes our society. We make up society as a whole. It is a wonderful musical that everyone should see at least once in their life. It may completely change your outlook on life.

Elvis Presley is one of the greatest performers ever, dead or alive

Elvis Presley is one of the greatest performers ever, dead or alive

Elvis Aaron Presley was born on January 8, 1935. He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi but moved in 1948 to Memphis, Tennessee with his family. Throughout his life Elvis was always viewed as a handsome, kind, caring person. As he got older he got noticed as being the amazing singer and performer he was. He created over 150 singles and albums throughout his lifetime. They earned him multi-platinum, platinum, and gold awards. He also had 14 Grammy nominations, winning three, from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

Elvis captured the hearts of all who saw him. The women wanted to be with him and the men wanted to be him. He made women faint and cry during his performances. The handkerchiefs he used to wipe the sweat from his brow would be thrown into the sea of women. They would fight like sharks to get it. They would even line up in front of his house to glimspe the luxury designer bedding that he slept on, the amazing thing is that girls still do this. His voice made you melt and feel as though he was singing to you and only you.

Elvis’ career was not just secluded to singing. He was also an actor. He starred in 33 films. All were successful and some are shown to this day. He was a very versatile actor. He was able to star as a boxer, to a military member, and then a county boy without much wits. His good looks captured the film. Often he would sing in the movies but his acting was never overpowered by his singing. He was just as good of an actor as a singer.

Sadly Elvis died on August 16, 1977. He was at his home in Memphis, Tennessee. His unfaltering fans mourned his death. They signed the wall outside of his house and placed thousands of flowers. Still to this day Elvis is viewed as one of the most amazing performers ever to grace the stage. He is still imitated throughout the globe but none will ever be able to measure up to his greatness.
